Feruza Aferwerki and I had the chance to photograph George the Poet for his new book, "Have You Read George's Podcast". We chose to do the shoot at his childhood home with his brothers. The pictures we got were really meaningful – they had this serious yet strong vibe. It made us all think a bit, and we ended up using several of them for the book's cover.
